At an age when perhaps friends mean more than moms, 10 year-old Sun is an outcast at school. During summer vacation, she meets Jia, who is new to town. As Sun shows Jia around the neighborhood and they play at each other’s houses and share secrets, they become best friends. However, when the new semester starts, Jia notices a strange vibe between Sun and the other kids. Jia tries to get into the cool kids group and starts to distance herself from Sun. Inside the perhaps more complex and delicate world of children than adults, the two girls end up hurting and getting hurt by each other.

YOON was born in South Korea in 1982. In 2005, she graduated Sogang University (B.A.) and in 2010, entered the Korea National University of Arts (Graduate school). Beginning with her first short film <The Taste of Salvia> (2009), YOON Ga-eun directed several films including <Proof> (2010) and <Guest> (2011), which won Grand Prix in the international competition at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in 2012. YOON’s next short <Sprout>, which followed a little girl who gets lost in her neighborhood as she tries to find her way to the store, was very well-received following its debut in Busan, eventually earning the Crystal Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlin International Film Festival, as well as turning its young actress KIM Su-an into a star. YOON next participated on the script from mainstream thriller <Tabloid Truth>, released in 2014. For her feature length debut, YOON returned once more to the Generations Section of the Berlin International Film Festival with <The World of Us> in 2015.
